I’m declaring this “Getting To Know You” week! To start off, here’s a questionnaire about yours truly:

If you had it to do over again what would you study in school? Since I’ve not finished college yet, I’ll just say that I wish I’d applied myself more in high school. I wish I’d believed in myself more to do better.

Who is someone from your past that you are sorry you lost track of? Well, thanks to Facebook, I’ve reconnected with all those people.

What grown-up job did you want to have when you were a child? When I was really young, I wanted to be a waitress just like my mom. Then I wanted to go into medicine like my dad. I think I’ve always been too ambitious to settle on one career. I do know that I love my job.

Who was your best friend growing up? I had various friends at certain times of my life and then there were times when I was alone.

What did you do during your childhood summers? Most of my summers were spent at my aunt’s house, playing with my cousins. I have the best memories from those summers.

What traditions did your family have? Christmas Eve at my aunt’s house; Thanksgiving at my aunt’s house; Sunday mornings with my dad…

Where were you in life 10 years ago? Ten years ago I was married and miserable. The only lights in my live were my daughters, then 5 and 4 years old.

Did you ever get left behind as a child? Never. Not even once.

What movie can you quote word for word? Many! The Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Harry Potter movies, the Star Wars trilogy and Raiders of the Lost Ark.

What song defines your childhood? While there are many songs that resurrect thoughts, feelings, sounds and smells of my childhood, no one song defines it.

What is the most disgusting thing you have ever eaten? Calamari. Ugh!

What makes you feel young? My children make me feel very young.

What cartoon do you still like to watch? Tom and Jerry.

What do you remember about your first day of school? I remember the feeling of being very much alone in this big room with a tall woman and lots of kids. I remember nap time and snack time.

What cartoon did you watch growing up? Tom and Jerry, Scooby Doo, Loony Toons, and the Superheros on Saturday morning.

What scares you in the dark? Shadows and strange noises.

What was the first concert you went to see? Duran Duran!!! I still love them!!!

At what point did you life change for the better? The day I got divorced and realized my life can finally start moving forward.

What is the funniest thing you have heard a child say? There are way too many things my girls have said over the years.

What do you miss from your childhood? How simple and free life was and how we used our imaginations to get us through our days.

Where did you go on vacation as a child? Twin Lakes with my mom and her friends.

What did you do to get pocket money as a child? I have no idea! We never really had any set chores.

What was your favorite TV show growing up? M*A*S*H

What is your earliest memory? Being sick in the hospital. I’ll never forget my nurse, Gloria, and how bad I felt after accidentally dropping a banana on her floor. I remember being in a crib at the hospital and the pretty dress and shoes my parents brought for me to take me home.
